LESSON 6: Basic Principles of Graphics and Layout

          The visual weight of objects is called “Balance”. There are three types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical and radial balance. An area in the design that may appear different size, etc. that attract the viewer’s attention is called “Emphasis”.  A visual elements guide the viewer’s eye around the screen is called “Movement”. Another is the pattern, repetition, and rhythm. The second to the last was “Proportion” a visual elements create a sense of unity where they relate well with one another. The last one was “Variety”, uses the several design elements to draw viewer’s attention.

LESSON 5: Advanced Presentation Skills

           Getting started with a Microsoft, a software that is used to create multimedia systems is called “Presentation System”. A Power point 2010 was used, a presentation software that allows you to create dynamic slide. The following has a slide tab and outline tab. A “Slide views” that allows you to adjust your slide. You can use the normal, slide sorter, reading and slide show.

LESSON 4: Advanced Spreadsheet Skills

             First, is the computer equivalent of a paper or ledger sheet called “Spreadsheet”. We had learned here the excel using excel 2010. The following has a ribbon, name box, formula box, tab split box and sheet tabs. We also learned using workbooks. The combination of a column coordinate and a row coordinate make up a cell address.

LESSON 3: Advanced Word Processing Skills

               The use of computer to create, edit and print documents is called “Word Processing”. Also we learned that what you call “Word Processor”, it is a software program that capable of creating, editing, storing and printing document. Another one is Mail Merge, a feature of Microsoft Word that allows you to create documents and combine another document or data file. Mail merge has a 2 component; form document and list or data file. The last one was the use or how to use text wrapping.

LESSON 2: Rules of Netiquette

               There are many rules of computers and threats. Some of the threats are dangerous. For you to have a safety, do not use your complete name using the first, last and middle name in face book or in other accounts. You must enter another name like your code name. Do not put there your school attended because they will use this information for verification purposes to you. Another one is, do not put there your right address, because it would be easier for criminals to find you. There were so many more that could not be in your account like your parents name, etc… And now, I have learned the many tips for having a safety online.

LESSON 1: Introduction to information and Communication Technology

              The use of different communication technologies such as phones, telephone, internet…etc. is to locate, save, send, and edit information. One of the goals of ICT is to have a unified way to communicate. The person born or brought up during the age of digital technology is called Digital Native. There are also different kinds of Web, the Web 1.0 (readable) also known as “Static Web”, Web 2.0 (writable) also known as “Dynamic Web Pages”, and “Semantic Web”. Philippines was dubbed as the “ICT Hub of Asia”.
